Interested in serving in a committee?
Committee work is a key component of MTA member engagement. Committees advise the MTA Board of Directors, Executive Committee and staff on issues and services related to their assigned areas of responsibility.
In short, committees are vital to the work and mission of the MTA, and serving on a committee is an ideal way to get involved with your union at the state level.
If you are interested in volunteering to serve in this way, MTA would like to hear from you! Use this form to apply.
While not all of our committees have openings, we will consider your application once received. Should you be appointed to a committee, you will receive email notification from the MTA. Please respond to it to accept the appointment. Please keep in mind that there are responsibilities that come with committee membership, including the expectation that you will attend committee meetings in accordance with the attendance policy. Please also understand that appointment to a committee is not a forum for single, individual, local or county concerns. All concerns brought to the committee must be acted upon in light of statewide importance and impact. (MTA Policy, 50.05, Section VIII)
